BiScopic Protection (BSP)
Three Dimension Motion Detection (TDMD), BiScopic Protection comprises  two vertically-aligned IR micro bolometer cameras linked by a unique software package. It provides accurate and reliable detection of targets with the ability to estimate their size and location (azimuth, distance and height above ground) in a passive manner. Three-dimensional representation of the scenery provides accurate and reliable detection with a high Pd, while maintaining a low false alarm rate (FAR). Magna’s patented algorithm, NFAR (Negligible False Alarm Rate), makes an accurate estimation even when targets are as small and far away as to fill a single pixel on the sensor.

The system includes the following features: 
* System alerts only upon detection by both sensors
* Alerts for new static objects
* Learning and filtering automatic monotonic movements
* Predefining the area of interest for specific targets
* Filtering targets according to their movement parameters in the area of interest

Major Product Lines
1. The OWL (Optical Watch Line) family: A virtual wall concept employing a network of OWL systems to generate an impenetrable obstacle.
2. The EAGLE family: Scanning biscopic protection for the defense of fenced-in areas and entrances.

MAGNA BSP is a startup company founded in January 2001. Following successful product trials, interest was generated, orders were received and production began.
