Based on stereoscopic passive electro-optic radar, the SAFD detects, analyses and evaluates target parameters and investigates them using zoom cameras. The entire runway is inspected up to a height of one meter, a required feature for bird detection. The system is operational 24/7 in all weather conditions (rain, haze, fog, snow), day and night and at extremes of temperature.
